Cloud Computing

These days Cloud Computing is the Buzz Word and it is being used to run various types of business applications. In very simple terms Cloud Computing is delivery of pooled network resources such as CPU, RAM, Storage, Software over the web. These services can be rapidly provided and released on demand.
In Simple words “Providing Hosted Services Over The Internet”.
An Introduction of Cloud Computing:
A working definition of cloud computing could be delivering hosted services over the Internet. As most of these services are based on cloud computing, there is little use of a number of software and free spaces space in the computer.                                                                                    It is not alien to common man, as we are already using Cloud-Computing while using Internet. This much talked about services is already part of Gmail, YahooMail, Hotmail, MSN and other email services.
What is Cloud Computing?
The Cloud Computing is another revolution in Internet technology. In case of Cloud computing, network resources such as CPU's, RAM, Storage space, Servers, Services etc.. are available in a resource pool. These all services can be accessed on demand. So, for example if your application needs the more processing power then it can request for more CPU's from the resource pool. Once your processing is done it can be released back to the resource pool.
These days hosting companies are providing cloud servers, cloud storage, software hosted on the cloud environment. Cloud computing helps the business to get the required computing resources at very minimal cost. Once the work is done you can release the Cloud resources. You will be charged only for your usage. This ways business can save lot of money. You can use Cloud computing environment and pay on the basis of resource usage. The Cloud computing companies are also providing cloud resources and charging Fixed monthly costs.

The Cloud Competing is mostly used to provide the virtual servers to the client. The Cloud hosting services is good for small as well as big businesses. As most of these services are based on cloud computing, there is little use of a number of software and free spaces space in the computer. For instance, if you are using email service provider like gmail or yahoo you have all the data stored on the server of the company providing these services. The hard disk of your computer doesn't store even a fractional amount of this data. Only thing our computers do is showing the data.

The name cloud computing is given as this service is analogous to the cloud in the sky. As the cloud has potential for rain but it doesn't brings rain everywhere, likewise the cloud computing servers has all the information but it delivers only requested information.

Here are a few types of public cloud computing:
        Infrastructure as a service (IaaS)
        Platform as a service (PaaS)
        Software as a service (SaaS)
        Storage as a service (STaaS)
        Security as a service (SECaaS)
        Data as a service (DaaS)

Components of Cloud Commuting environment:
Server Hardware
Most companies are using high end servers to make Cloud computing environment.
Cloud OS
The Cloud OS is installed on the hardware. Cloud OS allows the companies to distribute and manage the resources of the Cloud system. It also provides the control panel to see the status of the over all system.
Some of the Cloud OS are eyeOS, VMware Cloud Operating System, icloud, Cloudo, Cornelios etc...

With the help of utilities provided by Cloud OS you can create virtual server for your clients. Your client can login and use the allocated virtual server/resources. You can increase and decrease the resource usage by client.

Parts:
Cloud computing services comprise of two parts named Front end and Back end. Both these parts are connected through an effective medium called Internet. In terms of the cloud Computing, the computers used by common man are considered front-end part. One has to install some programs on their computers so that they can access the services from the cloud. Server computers and Data Storage systems are considered Back end part of cloud computing system.

Cloud Computing is growing fast and companies are taking full advantage of the services provided by Cloud computing. The cloud computing services have various advantages for businesses and individuals.
Benefits of Cloud Computing
We can get to the information from any place.
 Certification of Protection of Datas.
Can use free open source software.

Business advantages of Cloud Computing
 Pay for only using volume.
It is easy and very speed.
 Can be paid monthly.
Can work according to the standard.
Amount of workers and workspace are less .

Microblogging

Microblogging is a broadcast medium in the form of blogging. A microblog differs from a traditional blog in that its content is typically smaller in both actual and aggregate file size. Microblogs "allow users to exchange small elements of content such as short sentences, individual images, or video links". These small messages are sometimes called microposts.

As with traditional blogging, microbloggers post about topics ranging from the simple, such as "what I'm doing right now," to the thematic, such as "sports cars." Commercial microblogs also exist, to promote websites, services and/or products, and to promote collaboration within an organization.

Some microblogging services offer features such as privacy settings, which allow users to control who can read their microblogs, or alternative ways of publishing entries besides the web-based interface. These may include text messaging, instant messaging, E-mail, digital audio or digital video.

Advantages

Twitter, Facebook, and other microblogging services are also becoming a platform for marketing and public relations, with a sharp growth in the number of social media marketers. The Sysomos study shows that this specific group of marketers on Twitter is much more active than general user population, with 15% following more than 2,000 people. This is in sharp contrast to only 0.29% of overall Twitter users who follow more than 2,000 people.

Microblogging services have also emerged as an important source of real-time news updates for recent crisis situations, such as the Mumbai terror attacks or Iran protests. The short nature of updates allow users to post news items quickly, reaching its audience in seconds.

Basic Internet Terminologies

The Internet is a global system of interconnected computer networks that use the standard Internet protocol suite (often called TCP/IP, although not all applications use TCP) to serve billions of users worldwide.

A web browser is a Software application(computer software designed to help the user to perform specific tasks) for retrieving, presenting, and traversing information resources on the World Wide Web or it simply helps us to acess the internet (websites).

A web cache is a mechanism for the temporary storage (caching) of web documents, such as HTML pages and images, to reduce bandwidth usage, server load, and perceived lag. A web cache stores copies of documents passing through it.

Temporary Internet Files is a folder on Windows which holds browser cache ( is a temporary record of your internet activity, including images, sounds, and downloads, that is stored within a file on your computer for a short while)The directory is used by Internet Explorer and other web browsers to cache pages and other multimedia content, such as video and audio files, from websites visited by the user. This allows such websites to load more quickly the next time they are visited. C:\Documents and settings\LocalService\Temp\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5.

Each time a user visits a website using Microsoft Internet Explorer, files downloaded with each web page (including html, images etc are saved to the Temporary Internet Files folder, creating a cache of the web page on the local computer's hard disk, or other form of digital data storage. The next time the user visits the cached website, only changed content needs to be downloaded from the Internet; the unchanged data is available in the cache.

Despite the name 'temporary', the cache of a website remains stored on the hard disk until the user manually clears the cache.
The Temporary Internet Files cache can be useful in certain situations. For example, if no Internet connection is available, previously cached websites are still available offline.

A web page or webpage is a document or information resource that is suitable for the World Wide Web and can be accessed through a web browser and displayed on a monitor or mobile device. This information is usually in HTML or XHTML format, and may provide navigation to other web pages via hypertext links. Web pages may be retrieved from a local computer or from a remote web server. The web server may restrict access only to a private network, e.g. a corporate intranet, or it may publish pages on the World Wide Web. Web pages are requested and served from web servers using Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP).

A web search engine is designed to search for information on the World Wide Web. The search results are generally presented in a line of results often referred to as search engine results pages (SERPs). The information may be a specialist in web pages, images, information and other types of files.

URL
Uniform Resource Locator
the lettres typed in between www and .com
This can retrieve web pages from the Internet.

In computer networking and computer science, the words bandwidth, network bandwidth, data bandwidth are terms used to refer to various bit-rate measures, representing the available or consumed data communication resources expressed in bits/second or multiples of it (kilobits/s, megabits/s etc.).

Alureon DNSChanger malware

Alureon is a trojan and bootkit which is designed, amongst other things, to steal data by intercepting a system's network traffic and searching it for usernames, passwords and credit card data.According to research by Microsoft, Alureon was the second most active botnet in the second quarter of 2010.(A botnet is a collection of internet-connected computers whose security defenses have been breached and control ceded to an unknown party.)
This piece of software found its way onto hundreds of thousands of computers worldwide late last year. The software was designed to re-direct you away from trusted websites, towards spoof websites in a bid to steal financial and personal information. About a quarter-million computer users around the world are at risk of losing Internet access on Monday because of malicious software at the heart of a hacking scam that U.S. authorities shut down last November.
